SUBJECT: Article 21 Water

DATE: February 15, 2007

DWR staff has indicated that Article 21 water will be available again starting Friday, February 16^th. DWR plans to make the Article 21 water available for a week and then review their ability to continue deliveries weekly.

After a very dry January, last week an average of 7 inches of precipitation fell in northern California. Normal for February in northern California is 8 inches. Next week DWR staff will review their operations studies based on February 1^st snow survey results. We do not expect any change in allocation this month.

DWR staff also noted that 2006 carryover spilled out of San Luis Reservoir January 31^st. We will notify those of you that carried water over of the status as soon as we get final delivery numbers from the Agency.

If you are interested in utilizing Article 21 water for in-District use, please contact Verta at (661) 797-2311 with your request. It is important that you schedule delivery through Verta in advance so we can include your orders with our District requests to the Agency.

As a reminder, we will be cleaning the Service Area 1 canal and making needed repairs to the system next week. We will resume deliveries as soon as possible.
